And right now there's the 2nd game in that franchise being translated here: They are in their beta-testing stages right now, and will be translating a few other otome games in the future. There is no gurantee that they will start or finish these translation projects.
There have been only one (that I know of) decent/great otome game that has been translated very recently, and that is Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side 1st Love Plus.
But you will have to learn how to put the english patch on the original ROM yourself. Check out the patching tutorial on the sidebar, and if you still don't understand or need help with certain difficulties, go to their contacts page and ask.
Basically, you choose 1 female protagonist and compete against other girls in a board race of love, fame and glory.
Some in-game actions include having a boyfriend (it's just a card that offers temporary bonuses) and 1 of the core mechanics is to steal boyfriends from other girls or trying your best to keep 1 with good effects. Love Plus: impressive visual novel dating sim disguised as "I'm the tutor of this girl" thingy.
Includes the possibility of getting a girlfriend/boyfriend and there are some social engineering aspects to it like spreading rumours about ppl, helping/ruining other ppl relationships and you can even cheat.
Protip: abuse internal DS clock manipulation or this game will force you to log in every day.
I mean, the strategy part must come in at some point and although I like Luminous Arc series, strategy just ain't there. Good point but I wonder what really constitutes "strategy" in the first place!
I buy and download lots of apps from Google Play Store and they categorise some game apps as strategy titles and I wonder why!
As you progress into the game, you earn points to unlock more boyfriend cards, other playable girls and even custom clothes. However, requires fan translation, otherwise it's JP only.
