Registered mail tracking not updating

On monday i sent off a post parcel, just a regular padded parcel with the thing the person bought, with the package i got a tracking number.

Though it's now been 4 days and the tracking number still says that it was just accepted from me at my post office and hasn't changed in 4 days.

I am worried about the parcel, i assume by now that it should have moved from my local post office. , is it just that some people at aus post are lazy and don't scan the parcels to say where it is?

Or should i be really worried that something has happened to it.please don't say to be worried.

Is it possible for me to get these steps to happen automatically, as they continue to do for my email account?

This is my partner's account but we both use it however this is my first time that i personally have sold stuff on ebay.

They will send you e-mail updates of tracking info. I did, on the USPS website it just says "Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS" as if they never received it.

I'm wondering if it got lost in the drop box or if it wasn't scanned in (it was my dumb mistake for not bringing it to window, i know better).

Before a recent upgrade to a new MS Exchange Server at work, my read receipts automatically updated and then went to my Deleted folder, whether I sent the email from my mailbox account or a corporate account.

Now, the read receipts on emails I send from the corporate account, populate in the Inbox of the corporate mailbox.

I have a order I dropped off at USPS that is stuck in "Package has left seller facility and is in transit to carrier," its been over a week since I dropped it off and nothing has changed. Deal with PO to get your item back or work through a claim process.

I contacted the seller to ask if they got it and maybe the tracking was just not updating, but I heard no response. Have you gone to the usps web site to look for scans of the tracking number.

Shipment movement information is captured each time a tracking label is scanned in the UPS delivery system.
