So what I did was just: 1) open network connections 2) click properties 3) in the GENERAL tab, click INTERNET PROTOCOL (TCP/IP) 4) click Properties 5) choose obtain DNS server automatically My internet worked afterwards. This wasn't my solution unfortunately as I was already using the option for obtaining DNS server automatically.
Since I couldn't connect to my network wirelessly, I decided to connect to it by wire.
You just have to find the common setting between the two devices.
When setting up WPA you will see the option for either a radius server (Enterprise, and you see this in the corporate environment) or a place to enter a passphrase (Pre Shared Key, PSK).

My system picks it up automatically and windows is managing my wireless called Intel Proset Wireless, however just after it connects it drops the connection.
I have tried to troubleshoot all I can, and now all of a sudden when I try to connect to this wireless network, it says "windows is unable to find a certificat to log you onto the network GOMEZ, after when Iclick on status, it says validating identity.
In a few simple steps you can bypass Windows Validation, and the resulting "Limited or No Connectivity" issue on an encrypted connection.
In the next window click on the "Authentication" tab, Make sure "Enable IEEE 802.1x...." checkbox is UN-Checked, the rest of this window should be greyed out.
I was on the internet using a wireless hookup, then im not on the internet and its telling me its trying to "Validate Identity" I don't know what this means or what it needs to Validate and or who's or whats Identity?
I am sharing a secured wireless internet connection and the signal is strong.
Are you receiving an endless “Validating Identity” connection status when trying to connect to a wireless network.
